Today's my recipe is varutharacha kadala curry.It is best combination with puttu,it can be also serve with appam, idiyappam and chapati. This recipe is most popular in kerala for breakfast. Please try and feed back me.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Black chickpea
- 1 no Onion
- 2 small Tomato
- 2 nos Green chilly
- 1 spring Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Water as required
FOR ROAST:
- 3/4 cup Grated coconut
- 5 nos Shallots
- 3/4 tsp Fennel powder
- Ginger small piece
- 3 nos Garlic cloves
- 1 spring Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
FOR SEASONING:
- 11/2 tbsp Coconut oil
- 7 nos Shallots
- 2 nos red chilly
- 1 spring Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp chopped coconut

Instructions
- Soak the chickpea over night or at least 7 hours.
- Wash well and pressure cook along with sliced onion, sliced tomato, green chilly, curry leaves, salt, turmeric powder and water (as required) for five whistle.
- Roast all above mentioned ingredients and let it cool, then make a smooth paste and keep aside.
- Now add ground paste with enough water into cooked chickpea and mix well (make a semi thick gravy), then bring to boil for few minutes and off the flame.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped coconut, stir for few seconds, now add chopped shallots, red chilly and curry leaves, saute it until golden brown, then pour this seasoning on top of the curry and combine well.
- Enjoy the curry with puttu......!!!! Refer pics for instruction clarity.
