Instructions
- Cut the chicken into small pieces,wash well drain it and keep aside.
- Marinate chicken with turmeric powder,pepper powder,ginger garlic paste,salt and garam masala keep it aside.
- Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes and drain off the water.
- Heat ghee(oil) in a pot add bay leaf,cloves,cardamom,cinnamon and star anise and fry few seconds.
- Then add sliced onion and green chilly saute until the onion is transparent.
- Now add marinated chicken pieces and fry them for couple of minutes.Then add yogurt,cilantro and chopped mint cook until the chicken is half cooked.
- Add 3cup of water allow it to boil then add rice mix well (adjust salt) then reduce the flame,cover the pot with lid and cook until it is done.Once it is cooked,fluff up gently and serve warm.
- Enjoy delicious chicken pulao with raita/salad.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
