Cut the beef into small pieces, wash well and drain it.
Take beef in to a pressure cooker add half cup of shallots,1tsp ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, salt, sliced coconut, 1tbsp coriander powder, 1/4tsp turmeric powder,1/2tsp pepper powder and 1/2tsp garam masala,mix well with hand until masala evenly coated with the beef and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Pressure cook the beef without water for 3 whistle or until it is done.
Heat oil in a wok, add 1/2 cup of sliced shallots, curry leaves,1tsp ginger garlic paste and crushed green chilly, saute for 3 minutes, then add remaining coriander powder,pepper powder turmeric powder,garam masala powder and fennel powder and stir for one minute. Now reduce the flame to prevent burn masala.
When the masala's raw smell gone, then add cooked beef and combine well, keep stirring until dark brown.
Beef ularthiyathu is ready, serve hot...!!! Enjoy the dish.!!!
