Sadhya special cherupayar parippu/split moong dal payasam (Sadhya recipe # 10)
Hi friends,
I would like to share few sadhya recipes here. Today I am sharing a traditional sweet dessert from God's own country, Parippu pradhaman/ Cherupayar parippu payasam.
Instructions
Melt jaggery with 1/2 cup of water,strain it and keep aside.
Dry roast split moong dal until they turn light golden brown or it release a light smell then wash well.
Heat third coconut milk in a thick bottom pan,when it is boil add split moong dal(green gram lentil)and cook until it is done.

Once it is cooked add melted jaggery, stir it until thicken, then add ghee and mix well.
Now add second coconut milk keep stirring,when the payasam is thicken, further add first coconut milk,a pinch of salt and cardamom powder then mix well and switch off the flame before its boil.
Fry coconut bits and cashew in ghee then add into the payasam.
Delicious cherupayar payasam is ready......Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
